    Trivia Night

To welcome in and celebrate the start of the new semester, SHPE and NSBE held a Trivia Night as our kickoff event. Participants competed in groups in a Jeopardy-style game, with questions and categories covering Engineering professors and faculty, the history and facts of SHPE and NSBE, as well as random bonus questions.

The event was also a great opportunity to welcome new students and introduce freshmen to the Engineering community while bringing our SHPE and NSBE family together.

Students snacked on pizza, chips, and drinks while enjoying a fun evening filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of laughs!

SHPE hosted an evening of conversation and networking with engineers and other STEM professionals from both industry and academia.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn about different career journeys, ask questions, and gain honest insight into life after undergrad. From technical careers and applied problem-solving to research and beyond, the event highlighted the many paths available within STEM.

Guests included Michael Dominguez, President of the SHPE Greater Philadelphia Chapter; Andrew Wang, a Mechanical Engineer at the U.S. Army DEVCOM; and Professor Vergara, an Assistant Professor of Engineering at Swarthmore College.

With chips and salsa in hand, attendees enjoyed meaningful conversations and gained valuable insights into the diverse opportunities available in STEM and what those can look like for them.
