Tamara Mendoza Luna is a Biology and English Literature student at Swarthmore College whose poetry draws inspiration from anatomy, cultural identity, nature, language, and lived experience. Through her writing, she raises awareness of health disparities while exploring what it means to remain deeply human in a society that often overlooks our shared humanity. She enjoys weaving science with emotion and storytelling to explore the power of the medical humanities as she works toward a career in medicine.
