Do I have to be an engineer?
This is a common misconception; the answer is no. You do not have to be an engineering major to join SHPE! SHPE is for all STEM majors and is not exclusive to engineering.
Do I have to be Hispanic to join?
This is another misconception; the answer is no. All are welcome to SHPE. We celebrate and recognize all the different cultural backgrounds. The “H” in SHPE also stands for “Honorary Hispanic”.
